Angela Albertson

Angela Dacua Albertson, BSN, RN, CCRN

I was born in the Philippines, but grew up in Panama City, FL. I graduated from the University of Alabama in 2018 with my BSN, then I moved to Birmingham after graduation. I worked in the Neurosurgical ICU at Grandview Medical Center for 3 years before leaving to attend graduate school. I'm currently one year into UAB's CRNA program.

What is your goal(s) for joining PNAAL? I would like to connect with other Filipino nurses in Alabama, and further develop professionally. I hope my nursing experience and ongoing education can be an asset to this organization.

What part of the Philippines do your ancestors hail from? Most of my family currently lives in Davao, and this is where my mom and I lived before we moved to the states. I was a toddler when we moved so I don't remember much, but I've been fortunate enough to visit the Philippines a handful of times since then!

Favorite Filipino food? Biko is my favorite by far! As for non-desert food, my favorite has to be sinigang.

Hobbies? I don't have a lot of time for hobbies currently, as I spend nearly all my time studying! But when I'm not studying, I like to go to the gym or play music. I play the piano, guitar, flute, and ukulele. I hope to have more time for music when I graduate.
