What made you decide to run for this position?

As a Founding Member, I wanted to be engaged in establishing the first (and only) chapter of the Philippine Nurses Association of America in Alabama, and create an organization to help, support, and recognize the Filipino-American nurses in the state.

PNAAL is an organization in its infancy stage. I am one of its Founding Members and leaders. The organization needed leaders. I am available and willing therefore, I ran.

Sigrid inspired me to do it. Everyone on the EB is phenomenal but seeing all she’s accomplished at the UAB School of Nursing, made me know I was in good hands.

I was not planning to run for this position, but I was planning to be more active and participate in the organization. If it wasn't for other people who believed in me and asked me to run for the position, I would not have ran. This organization has provided me opportunities to build relationships with people that excel in this profession.

What made you decide to run for this position?

I ran for this position to be involved in decision-making while still being able to handle the rigorous demands of nurse anesthesia school.

What made you decide to run for this position?

I always knew that I wanted to be an active participant in the organization, with or without a title. Luckily, our dear President, Dr. Sigrid Ladores, gave me the confidence to run for Parliamentarian. I take pride in being a Filipina. And this organization is one way to raise our flag, inspire other Filipino nurses and make a difference in our profession and community.

What made you decide to run for this position?

Gabby pursued me to run for the position. My goal is to do the best I can to the best of my ability. Though still learning the mechanisms of my duties, I am slowly getting there with the help of Sigrid and Gabby. Grateful to both of them.

What made you decide to run for this position?

I ran for education chair to help PNAAL maximize its educational resources. With my professional experience as the education coordinator for the VA Telehealth Teaching and Learning Sessions, I am certain I can deliver the same activities to our PNAAL members.
