Bryan Wilbanks PhD, DNP, CRNA
Assistant Professor of Nursing
Dr. Wilbanks is a nurse anesthetist with over 12 years of clinical experience. He is also an educator and researcher. His expertise is in nursing informatics, specifically how electronic health record interface design impacts usability in real-world settings.ย
Adelais Markaki, PhD, RN, FAAN
Professor of Nursing
Dr. Markaki is Director of Global Partnerships, known for her sustained work in primary health care capacity building and global health integration. She demonstrates nursesโ role in achieving universal health and advocates for raising the nursing workforce status.
As Co-Director of the PAHO/WHO Collaborating Center (WHOCC), she leads one of only nine designated centers in the USA, integrating global health into nursing education, research, and clinical practice. Since 2016, Dr. Markaki has expanded the schoolโs global footprint through partnerships across continents. In 2019, she led the successful re-designation of UAB WHOCC, tasked with supporting PAHO efforts to overcome health disparities in the Americasโ region.

My heartfelt gratitude to all of you, 52 chapters, and almost 5,000 members across the country.
Traveling across the country brings beautiful memories of chapter leadersโ great works in promoting the mission of PNAA, and you have inspired me to the core. The loving kindness that I have experienced from PNA North Houston, PNA Metro Houston, PNA Greater St. Louis, PNA Indiana, PNA New England, PNA Michigan, PNATGT/SCR Chapters, PNA New York, PNA Metro DC, PNA New Jersey, PNA Colorado, and PNA Central California are timeless and will forever live in my heart and soul.

This activity is to give an opportunity for the Executive Board to report what the organization has been doing and have accomplished in the past year. Of equal importance, We would like to use this activity to re-connect with the members, active or inactive, and get feedback on how to better our organization moving forward. This will be done as we break bread and give thanks. It is going to be a good day to recommit our energies to giving thanks, and just giving.ย
